Description

Pick up from Amman to visit the beautiful Roman ruins of Jerash and experience floating in the lowest point (Dead Sea),  and feel the ambiance where Jesus Christ was baptized.

Itinerary

Day 1, Amman City Tour/ Jerash/ Amman

Pick up in Amman. Departure to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace. The tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. Free time for walking/shopping in the old down town area of the city. Proceed to visit the Greco-Roman City of Jerash, also known as the City of the thousand columns. Jerash showcases the grandeur of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the largest, and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World outside Italy. As the most pristine Decapolis City (meaning ten cities in Greek) in the modern world, Jerash’s prosperity can be admired in the colonnaded main street and lovely Oval Piazza. Transfer back to Amman. (No accommodation will be booked).

Day 2, Amman/ Baptism site/ Dead Sea/ Amman

Pick up in Amman. Transfer to visit the Baptism site where John lived and baptized. Proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, 409 meters below sea level for a swim in its warm, salty waters. Back to Amman. (No accommodation  booked).
